Topic 189154

Host ID 9571 has 1 WU left and is at 40 minutes to completion. I uploaded the 3 completed WU's, fully expecting new work. What was I thinking? I do several Update Now calls to the scheduler and it happily informs me "my daily quota of 8 results (you know the drill)". Deferring ,of course, to the 1 hour and change sit on your thumbs message. There is a corrupt file or work unit that is causing this. My only recourse at this point is to pray for the next 40 minutes (plus 20 for the scheduler), then either applaud the scheduler and crunch, shut down and waste a pefectly good KA computer, or head for work elsewhere. I count seventeen open WU's. Even when one takes half a day, it is hard for you to finish all of them. So, what's wrong?

Wurql; you must be counting them on the scheduler. My work que is looking like death valley. I've got the Phantom bad, and the phantoms are on your end. The scheduler "thinks" I've got seventeen, but they never arrived on my cruncher. BTW, Boinc 4.19, Mobile , 512 meg of ram . Any way to kill the phantoms at your end?

It seems the Einstein team

Message 11546 in response to message 11545

It seems the Einstein team (community) views this whole dialog seldom or never. Early subscribers had problems with the "new regime of 8". I, certainly being one of them. Host ID 9571 is now crunching under the "Regime of 8". What did the "soontobegonester" do to reincarnate the "tweakster"? Imagine yourself as an astute administrator, offer advice as to how I solved my total frustration. I know this belongs in the Cafe, but humor me. What did tweakster do? Feel free to speculate. If you own a Dull, Hewlett Hopeless, or Compuqe box, you are excused.

Correct on B. I let the POS run dry and reset the project. I am now a dedicated quota 8 Drone. For any Admin that care to research, I now have a new artifact. 9571 is now 212765. Won't be able to clean out my host file till 2010. Can't delete an erronious host for any known reason and the scheduler has a file of it's own.

Heffed; thanks for the council. Your attention is appreciated.
