    I just received a work unit with the message "Completed, can't validate" I have never seen this before, is this a validate error?

      Well, the wording on that screen says 'Workunit error - check skipped'

      The actual workunit is http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/136537902, where it says:

      errors WU cancelled, helpfully picked out in red. And it says you got the task on 5 November, almost a week ago - you hardly 'just' received it.

      It looks like a workunit with a similar sort of problem to the one discussed in the thread BRP CUDA, permanent validate errors.
