RE: I installed the amd

Quote:
I installed the amd 12.6 beta drivers last night and set the power savings on vista (64bit) from balanced to high performace (cpu clock speed was jumping around) and the HD 7770 times have dropped to around 8500 seconds for 2x units. I rerun the 7750 on some units as well.

Thanks for the update!

Cheers!

BTW you're obviously not a hockey fan...you should already have a playoff beard! :)

Started aging, running BRP on the HD5450. Looks like it will take around 10 hours to complete, i.e. ~36000 seconds per work unit. GPU is running at 97% activity.

Wow, looks like you're in i72600 CPU territory there...that's a damn slow "graphics" card. Hope you never tried playing any games with it! :)

Some measurements from my HD6950 (unlocked to HD6970 with Core i7 @4.3 GHz and 2 free cores for 2 GPU Workunits at a time):

-> HD6950 (1536 Shader) 2x 6700s

Thanks EselTreiber!

Hmm, bit of a curve-ball with that one...unlocked to HD6970...that's cheating! :P

OK, you go on the list with an * to separate you out from the rest.

Thanks!

Thanks Horacio!

Still using WinXP eh? Wonder how it would run under Win7...

RE: I have a HD5450

I have a HD5450 running. I did stop here couple of weeks ago to do testing at SETIbeta. No more tasks in the history, but runtime was between 9 and 10 hours.

Thanks Christoph!

Good to know; I like having multiple samples for comparison. Looks like you're time will match with Jeearr's once his test are done.

Shaved the beard after my kids Hockey season was over. They play in an outdoor rink, and I freeze my GPUs off watching them instead of wimping out in the hothouse..

Cheers!

BTW.. the 5450 is almost done with 1 work unit. I don't think I can take it doing another one. Will run the 5570 next.

Never even attempted to play games on it. I think I used it as a low power distributed.net stream cruncher card at one time, then I think it lived in my wife's computer for a while, until I sent it to the computer parts grave yard.

Cheers!
