(I've just installed the dev 302.59 drivers to be sure.)

Hi Claggy,

You're right. I tried the 302.302.59 install and got:

But, honest Guv, that's the first time I've seen that!!

So why no Einstein GPU WUs??

Because, as of 20 May 2012 17:18:47 UTC, your driver is still recognized as 296.1 by the BOINC client.

Gundolf

Ah!! So - what do I have to do to tell the BOINC client what my actual driver is??

Well maybe it's not BOINC's fault, let's find out what the ACTUAL installed driver version is.

I suggest to run GPU-Z, the driver version is displayed there as well. If it also displays 295, it's not BOINC's fault ...

Cheers

Thie looks related to the problems of Ziegenmelker. He apparently also installed various driver versions while BOINC still reported the same version.

Did you restart BOINC after installing a new driver? Did you reboot you rcomputer?

Oops - sorry about that!

Here we go:

So - I'm at 301.24 yet, after rebooting, BOINC still has me at 296.10.

Look like that won't be necessary. BOINC now has my Nvidia driver number, and an Einstein GPU WU is running.

Many thanks to everyone for helping.

Do you have any idea what fixed it? Did you do something special that you didn't do the times before?
