Hi !

I got the new Workunits last night ((Gravitational Wave S6 LineVeto search 1.10 (SSE2)) for my Nvidia GT 240 graficcard, but it won´t crunch anymore.
The Boinc Manager has got the number 7.0.23 and my computer is an AMD Athlon II X4 640 3 Ghz with 4 GB RAM with Win 7 home (32-bit).

Can anybody tell please, what ist wrong and what do I have to do to bring the GT 240 back to work ?

Thanks !

Greetings from northern Germany

Try Boinc 7.0.24, it has has a fix for idle GPUs when the CPUs are filled with EDF tasks,

Thanks !

I have now installed the BM 7.0.24,but the graficcard still refuses to cooperate.
Now,I´ve chosen to crunch the BRP-Search in the preferences. That´s the only WU´s my card is crunching.I think it is too old,but I don´t want to buy a new one now.

First of all, have you tried restarting Windows?

You can also try slightly newer drivers, the 290.53 Beta drivers report the full amount of GPU RAM, unlike earlier drivers from 197.xx up to at least 275.xx,
Your problem might be that there isn't enough GPU RAM available (435MB is a strange amount), so Boinc won't start the Einstein Cuda app, (rebooting might help here).

Don't try any 295.xx or 296.xx drivers as there is a Sleeping Monitor Bug with those drivers, and Einstein will also refuse to send you any Nvidia GPU work if you run it,

and rather than aborting all your CPU tasks, please set your Einstein Project preferences to the apps you do wish to run, or deselect USE CPU.
