I'm trying to add a new host, but keep getting:

Fri 02 Dec 2011 10:52:43 PM BDT | | [http] [ID#1] Info: Connection #1 to host einstein.phys.uwm.edu left intact
Fri 02 Dec 2011 10:52:43 PM BDT | Einstein@Home | [sched_op] Got master file; parsing
Fri 02 Dec 2011 10:52:43 PM BDT | Einstein@Home | [sched_op] Found 0 scheduler URLs in master file
Fri 02 Dec 2011 10:52:43 PM BDT | Einstein@Home | [sched_op] Deferring communication for 1 days 0 hr 0 min 0 sec
Fri 02 Dec 2011 10:52:43 PM BDT | Einstein@Home | [sched_op] Reason: 11 consecutive failures fetching scheduler list

Searching in the master file, I do find:

http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi about 3/4 to the end of the first (very long!) line. So the url is there, but is it correct (perhaps a space that shouldn't be there)?

TIA

I don't think this is a very long line:
[pre]http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi [/pre];-)
But you are right: there mustn't be a blank space in it.

Gundolf

The file schedulers.txt this is coming from hasn't changed since June 8 2010. The space has always been in there, I can't imagine it doing any harm.

Yes, and I've succesfully attached other hosts before, both windows and linux. This computer is the same one with Windows, but now I've changed to Sabayon Linux. Using BOINC 6.12.42 (64bit) from Gentoo repositories (Sabayon is Gentoo "made easier"). I've succesfully attached to (and are currently crunching) Seti@home (optimized), Seti@home Beta and ClimatePrediction.

Some further "investigation": Comparing the master-xml's the only difference (regarding scheduler) between Einstein and those other projects are that trailing space _and_ the other 3 projects all have

http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi

[/size]
So either BOINC 6.12.42 or Sabayon (Gentoo) is more strict regarding scheduler.

I tried editing the master, but BOINC asked for a new master from Einstein anyway. Is there another file I could manually change to make BOINC aware of the scheduler-url?

Thanks Bernd! Works now

Thanks Bernd!

Works now :)

Been very ill for a couple of days, otherwise I would've downloaded and extracted from official BOINC site already. That should've worked, but no need now :)
