Note also that in the later part of the ABP2 run, WUs were generated with a different kind of date: At the beginning, the WUs would cover parts of the sky that point towards the galactic center, where star density is higher, and therefore the probability of finding a pulsar is higher. Later, the so called "ant-center" WUs were generated that looked at the opposite end of the sky, pointing away from the galactic center. It's less likely to find pulsars for those later units, but of course, it still makes sense to examine them.
