Newbie here at E@H. Have a WU showing 12k hour to complete. Figure it was either scrambled during transmission or on the HD. Stopped processing on it after finding that it was only 0.08 percent after 9+ hours.
Question: Is there anyone to report bad WU's to, or should I just let it expire?

Need more info... was this WU 2013474? If so, it looks like you aborted it, which is what I would have recommended, and no further action is needed. If not, if it's a higher WU number, then it's possible you have an entire bad "chunk" of WUs, and will wind up aborting each of them as the estimated time gets absurd - or, something has gone wrong with your computer. I say this because 2013474 was bad, and 2013476 and 77 are "in progress" on your PC. (2013473 however looks good...)

There isn't a method to report "bad" WUs, but they are detected by the validator after a few (I believe 5?) people return them with errors - it will not continue to be sent out forever trying to get a good result.

You are the first to receive this "block", it's still "unsent" to anyone else, so we really can't tell you anything specific until others have had a chance to crunch it.

There aren't any valid WUs coming from Einstein that would take more than a couple of days to crunch on your computer. I would HOPE that if you had let this one continue to crunch, the software would eventually have hit an unrecoverable error and aborted it on it's own - I shudder to think that there might be computers out there "unwatched", that are working on the same bad WU for months and months...

Thanks for the reply!

I finally stumbled around and found the "abort" button. Handy little item to have. Have a feeling that the WU itself is fine and the root cause is the operator having a serious case of brain gas. Computer suffered a hard shut down, along with several others, do to the fact that I turned the power off on the circuit they are plugged into. Thanks again.
