The Einstein program looks great but my PC finished it in less than 6 hrs and it won't connect to transmit the finished data. Instructions for this program are virtually non existant. This makes it totally useless as a screensaver and an annoying waste of time and effort. I am uninstalling it and telling everyone I know that this project is not ready to be used in any practical manner.

It is working great here where i am.
There are several possible problems.
1) Did you enter the project URL correctly ?
2) Was your computer capable connecting to internet when your E@H work unit finished ?
3) is not your boinc internet activity accidentally disabled ?

In any way you can try to force-upload your E@H work units
In boinc client choose projects tab and right-click on Einstein@Home project
in the popped up menu click on Update(retry now)
then look in messages tab for possible problems communicating with E@H server

Aren't you being a bit hasty?

Aren't you being a bit hasty? The scheduler is down at present (see here for server status.)

E@H seems to have a few problems with the scheduler at present, so it might take a while to upload your data. Wait patiently and it WILL be uploaded.

Meanwhile, why not look at other BOINC projects? CPDN do a good screen saver if that's what you want, and their WUs take weeks to run. Try www.climateprediction.net
