Just had a WU not validate which I had crunched running XP. The other two hosts were Linux and Darwin, and those two seemed to agree with each other but not with me. This box is NOT overclocked (how should it be, it's a notebook) and normally returns perfectly valid results, so it might be the validator again.
And a 524-credit-WU, too. I got relatively lucky at the beginning of the run, but now I seem to be collecting computation errors and invalid results like anyone else, plus getting hell from a beta app which REALLY doesn't seem to like my desktop box...
Yeah well, life is hard ;-) I'm sure things will work out soon enough.
I noted that your WinBox that had the invalid result ran 4.13 on it. Did you notice if it had been in the 'Checked, but no consensus' state while it was waiting for the third result to be returned?
It is kind of interesting that Mac (4.20) validated with the Linux host (4.14), but not yours. This is telling me if you have a fast host with a big cache which may still have results tied to the early apps, a project reset might be a good idea to get it to update to the latest version. You might want to delete the datapack files as well to get fresh copies of them too.
In any event that was an early S5R2 result and your host running 4.17 now, so the validator issue shouldn't be effecting it now.
That host has been having the new app for ages now. The WU just took a week to validate (or, more precisely, NOT validate). And no, I didn't notice anything like "checked, but no consensus yet"... just noticed the WU was pending despite reaching quorum...
FYI, when you get one of those long term pending ones, and then see a reissue for it when the second result comes back, you have to look on the Result ID page to see the 'Checked,...' message for the Validate State.
Also, if the result is in that state it won't show on your Pending Credit page, even though it shows as pending on the host summary.

You have to look inside the individual details to see that status. It shows down very near the bottom.
