This is the first time BOINC shuts down on me - twice today. I can't help doubting that it's connected somehow with the file server mishap. I've never had problems with BOINC and E@H before. Besides E@H is the only client running on this machine. Any ideas? Anyone else seeing the same problem?

Unhandled exception?

It looks like everything you are returning is validating.

What happens when BOINC shuts down? Does it hang? Is there any activity you can see in task manager? Are you using graphics?

Can you post messages from from your logs around the time of the crash?

It simply stops with a

It simply stops with a message about an unhandled exception, and offers to abort or retry closing normally. I did not look at the messages, and after the restart of BOINC the log cleared, of course. It didn't happen again, so I hope it was a glitch in the current workunit.
And no, I never use the screensaver. I don't want to slow down the crunching. :)

The unhandled exception is written to the stderrdae.txt file in your BOINC directory. One of the developers is looking into these (see this thread on the BOINC forums). Please email a short description of what you are doing, the project, your Boinc version (5.4.11) and a zipped copy of the stderrdae.txt file to Rom Walton: rwalton at ssl dot berkeley dot edu

I would gladly send it, but

I would gladly send it, but the last entrance in the file is from 7.12.06, and that glitch happened on 9.12.06. No new problems since.
