@ Mike H, Its turning cold here. Winter is starting to settle in. They are forecasting snow this weekend down to the valley floors. Yuck! I want my warm weather back!
One wonders why humans migrate from the tropics to the temperate zones at all! We've had some record snow falls for our area in 2 out of the last 5 winters. They are brought up from Antarctica in storms called 'southerly busters' that really build up further as they transit the Roaring Forties. As there's a perpetual high or two over the centre of DownUnda, these are generally deflected to the east and arrive in rush and a dump. We have this great publicly accessible weather radar ( also includes doppler winds ) that has saved more than a few days outdoors from woe. :-)
@Kath - rug up and drink hot drinks! If that doesn't work then medicinal whiskey ..... :-)
Cheers, Mike.
( edit ) Medicinal whiskey is distilled just like the usual stuff, but is rather better : because a doctor has ordered it. :-) :-)
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal
There is a drink of North American hunters and coureurs du bois in Canada made with butter, rhum and sugar. We tried it in an Alpine hut in the Dolomites and were drunk for 2 days. Use it at your own risk.

I have trouble with any drink colored blue, or those for which the bottle label reads 'clean the turbine inlet filter first' ..... whatever that means :-) :-)
Cheers, Mike.

Ever have one of those days? In the last two week, I had two computers go dead on me. I'm not a hardware person (boy do I need to learn to be one). The nice man my boss called came this morning, opened the case, jiggled something, and bam! the first one booted. I could have screamed. He did the same to the second one and wouldn't you know it, it booted. Here I was thinking the worst, dead mobo. So I took the opportunity to blow out the massive amounts of dust in my daily driver.
I am going to study up on my hardware and this will NOT happen again.
On the plus side, he only charged me 10000 won (less than 10 UDS) for the visit. I think he felt sorry for me.

=) I shall use the prescribed whiskey to make a hot toddy. Too bad whiskey is so expensive over here.
