Is it possible to tell the total number of work units all my computers have crunched together? I know on the user page after a while the results go into a blackhole, but are they save in a database anywhere, so you could derive the statistics?

such things just should not be writ so please destroy this if you wish to live 'tis better in ignorance to dwell than to go screaming into the abyss worse than hell

AFAIK, the projects don't maintain a running total of the number of WU's a host has run. One of the results gets picked as the canonical and that goes into the master science database, but once WU's are cleared from the BOINC database I don't think they have an easy way of regenerating the total count.

You can do that on your own by running one of the third party logging utilities though.
