The only thing being dumped on us, at the moment, is copious amounts of rain.....
Our (Florida's) normal rainfall total for this time of year is ~13 inches. This year it is 31 inches. I know the "feeling".
And yet here I sit in Southern North Carolina wishing it would rain some more!! It has been a very dry year for us so far, I know I'm not 'wishing' for more rain like you guys are talking about but somewhere around normalish would be nice.
We're heading for warmer climes next week, off to the Cape Verde Islands for my daughters wedding.....
WOO HOO!!! I hope everything is perfect!!!
I will add my best wishes to that. :-) My congratulations to the happy couple, Sir.
it is 65F here this morning with mild wind under sunny skies. a/c is off. windows are open. The silence is most welcome. but how long will it last? who cares. i'll take what I can get.
<edit>however it appears as if the target has gone on a forced vacation. the length of which has yet to be revealed to us mortals.
Yep, at first glance it seems you are correct.
Unfortunately being the biggest and most well known Boinc Project brings with it lots of people that have things to say that shouldn't always be said either at all or in the way they are being said. I used to be a forum mod there and it was NOT fun at all!! When I left it was very good to get back to just crunching again.
I do hope I'm not too late to wish much happiness and good fortune :) in the direction of the Cape Verde Islands, Gnu! And to you and your lovelies and everyone else there too of course! :)
Gnu...?
Sir Rodney my congratulations to you for your fine post over at Seti yesterday. It was most excellent.
In as much as there are words to describe the indescribable, mind-numbing torture that is the foundation of my beliefs, Sir, I thank you. ;-)
*deja vu blink* I haven't been there for awhile so really shouldn't be feeling like I know something I don't... No :\ but I do, and it keeps happening every time I get to the f word... yes... not betreger's two - in quick succession, no ;-) but from what Gary says - it could be some time before I can verify my suspicions which is why I didn't rush over there straight away, but instead *roam eyes round thread* stayed here.

I'm glad you saw some sunny skies, robl :) whichever day that was. I tried to work it out - but my brain flashed "TIME MATHS! TIME MATHS!!" against the inside of my eyelids and nothing came out. I'm usually spared that.
Just feeling under the weather I guess.
Could very well be, yes. I hope you're feeling better than you were though, Kathryn? :)

Just finished and even I'm impressed *preen*
:)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Sir Rodney Ffing
For those of us who don't read over there anything ground breaking or new?

For those of us who don't
Just a well deserved, articulate slam to a chronic troll.
Another splendid smashup post
