I want to tell you how easy it was to set up boinc on OpenBSD.

* The URL to compile your own Boinc client is here:
http://boinc.berkeley.edu/anonymous_platform.php

* The thread in the Community at seti@home links to the source code of SETI@home is found here:
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=13851#100431

* Proof of my OpenBSD 3.7-current computer chugging workunits is here:
http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=771908

* It's great as it is! But it could be better if I could do the same with the Einstein client.

Why don't you try running the windoze E@H client under WINE? Quite a few linux people seem to be do that quite successfully.

Cheers,
Gary.

A kludge that's more trouble than it is worth.

It would be far better if the Einstein folks would simply optimize the native Linux client or use another compiler altogether.
