You know what, nevermind. I looked through this guy's posts and some of them are 3 years old railing against nvidia cards, meanwhile using them the whole time.

proof, please.
and i see, you know about this 7970 more then the real owners. you know it must be much hotter that it is despite i show you it is 60C, you doubt, Dan post link to someone test with 53C under load, you told what i am just an nvidia blaimer. it is very fruitful way of truth searching as you claim. you didn't own, but you know, i do own, but i'm incompetent and biased.

Relax, guys. :-) We

Relax, guys. :-)

We frequently see anecdotal behaviour which is hard to reproduce and/or explicate with regard to other systems and trends. One thing E@H work units seem especially good at is finding 'cracks in configurations', for want of a better phrase, probably since there's alot of optimisation in our code production. Hence limiting factors are all too frequently nudged : from CPU's to main memory to data channels to GPU's to cooling to PSU's to combinations thereof ( etc ). For systems well out there in performance terms it's not unusual to get dramatic differences in results ( eg. times per WU ) for an apparently small change in parameters. AND that is not necessarily something we fully understand in detail in each instance.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal
