Hi, just started crunching some work units for Einstein@Home and I was wondering how you get picked up by the stat websites such as 'allboincstats' etc. I can see in the listings on here that I am showing up with the credits I've just been awarded and so forth, but I was wondering if you need to do anything to appear on the global stats websites or whether they pick up the stats of users automatically, and if so, why they might not have any record of me yet? (been running for a couple days now)
Apologies if this has been asked before.

Also, when you attach to a new project, you have to create a new account for that individual project I'm assuming? So do the stats sites automatically work out that you're the same person so your stats go onto the same profile?

I have the same same name and email address on 7 projects and BoincStats credit me on all of them after a delay of about 24 hours, not immediately.

Hi Tom - welcome to the E@H project! We hope you enjoy your stay here.
Stats sites get their feeds from each project at reasonably regular intervals and it all happens without you having to do anything. For new participants, it can take a day or two to start "showing up" on the stats sites. Just be patient - it will happen :-).
If you decide to participate in other projects, the key thing is to make sure you use exactly the same email address when you register at each project. That way the stats sites will know you are the same person. A good place to get information on these sorts of questions is the BOINC FAQ Service where many of these sorts of question have been written up by some fairly dedicated volunteers.
Cheers,
Gary.

Thanks Gary. I couldn't remember what was used as the cross project validator.
The email address effectively functions as the BOINC-wide passport.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
