I keep getting the message that I've "reached daily quota of 16 results" on my dual core system, but I'm no ways near having completed that many work units. I typically average 4-5 results per day. Is this a bug?

Reached Daily Quota
)
This is a VERY interesting bug report.
I looked at the scheduler logs, for host #401331. What's happening is that your system is suffering from the 'GHOST WU' problem. Very often, a WU which is sent does not reach your system. When the WU is RESENT, it is counted (again!) against your daily result quota.
I will fix this in the scheduler code. But meanwhile, you should try to understand why frequently your machine does not get the WU which are sent to it. Any idea why not?
[EDIT 10 min later]. I have found and fixed this in the server-side scheduler code. Note that it may take me a few days to get this fix into place on our server. Meanwhile, please see if you can help understand why WU being sent to your system are frequently 'lost in transit'.
[EDIT 13 Sept UTC] I have just upgraded the server-side scheduler code. This problem should go away for you on 14 Sept at 00:00:00 UTC.]

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I searched my NIS2005 logs and could not find any evidence that my firewall has been blocking any Boinc communications (this would have been my first guess). The only possible item I found was that the NIC adapter had "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" enabled. I have my power management set for "always on" and I'm never knowingly offline, but maybe this could have been turning off my network and blocking Boinc work units. I've now disabled this feature and will monitor to see if my "reached daily quota" messages will stop. Again, THANKS.

Hi I have not recieved any WU
)
Hi
I have not recieved any WU for three days. I am runnig only two projects; climate prediction and Einstein. I have tried what I have read here.
1st resetting the project. 2nd aborting all of Climate WU only to recieve additional WU from climate only.
I am also getting the following messages when I update..
9/12/2005 8:53:30 PM|Einstein@Home|Sending scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi
9/12/2005 8:53:30 PM|Einstein@Home|Requesting 0 seconds of work, returning 0 results
9/12/2005 8:53:31 PM|Einstein@Home|Scheduler request to http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/EinsteinAtHome_cgi/cgi succeeded
9/12/2005 8:53:32 PM||request_reschedule_cpus: project op
I thought to wait it out to no avial. What Next?

Resetting projects and aborting WUs are drastic "last ditch" steps, for problems other than a simple "no work fetch".
This is the wrong thread for this, but the simple fix is to suspend CPDN from the Projects tab, then hit "Update" on Einstein. That will give you Einstein work. If it doesn't, then there should be an error message - what you're seeing right now is a normal "I'm busy on CPDN, no time for Einstein right now, thanks"; there may have been a problem, but resetting wipes all traces.
Also, you returned a WU on the 11th... and downloaded EIGHT on the 7th... so it's entirely possible that you simply "owed a debt" to CPDN, and it's now getting caught up.
thanks for the advice I
