Question Regarding BOINC Backend Setup

I was curious if there is any word on the plans to try upgrading to the new and uber-wonderful latest backend version of BOINC. Wgereas this one does work fine, there are some features in the latest version which makes help out folks with problems somewhat easier and more efficient.

I remeber the last try didn't go all that smoothly (pretty much made things worse at the time), but was just wondering what the position was about trying again at some point.
