I'm running BRPS on two Amazon Fire TV sticks. A Fire TV stick 3rd Gen, and a Fire TV stick Lite. Both have a 4 core A53 at 1.69mhz. I'm using 2 cores per stick, 100% cpu usage, 90% memory. A task takes a bit over 40k secs. 3 cores at 100% causes throttling and is less effective than 2 cores. I haven't tried 3 cores with less than 100% cpu usage, I assume this might allow for some increase in throughput. I plan to try some sort of cooling. With just two cores, heat seems minimal.
Setup is simple: sideload Boinc from Fdroid, then use ADB shell to turn off sleep timer.

I am using a couple of LED transformers to provide the power (24v) to them. The power circuitry in the Edge Cluster drops that down to something the Pi's can use. The EC can take anything from 9v to 24v, but I figured higher volts means lower current needed.
They aren't cheap, but it does package them up into a neat little box that handles the power and cooling. They also make larger rack-style systems if one wants more than 12 per box, but I had 12 Pi4's which is why I went with the first EC12.
Raxda Rock 5B is now shipping. Its an SBC in a Pico-ITX format with a Rockchip RK3588 (4 x ARM Cortex A55 up to 1.8GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A76 up to 2.4GHz and ARM Mali G610 GPU).
It has 2 x HDMI out, 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x USB 3.0, 2.5GbE NIC, Micro SD slot, EMMC connecter, M2 NVMe slot on the back (M key) and an M2 slot on the front (E key for WiFi adapter), USB C for power and an audio jack. Comes in 4, 8 or 16GB memory configurations. AmeriDroid has them listed at USD 144.95 (presumably the 4GB model).

You may want to cool them as much as possible.
I remember someone reporting high burnout rates because they were not designed for 24/7 and got too hot.

There are several Pi cluster

There are several Pi cluster systems running. I doubt they equal the performance of a single RTX 3000 though.
There is the custom BRP application by Gaurav Khana that runs on my Nvidia Jetson Nano device.
It uses a ARM57 processor core but has 128 Maxwell CUDA cores that run the BRP4/4G tasks pretty well.
I am trying to put together a Jetson TX2 NX module with 256 Pascal cores that I hope to have even better results with.

I got the Jetson TX2-NX up and running to join efforts of my original Jetson Nano.
Basically twice as fast and 50% more cores. Running the BRP4/4G tasks and whatever ARM64 cpu apps I can find on projects.
