Just another issue.

Currently the latest recommended version is 5.4.9, but trux lastest version is still 5.3.12.

I would like to use a calibrating 5.4.x version.
Does someone has a information?

Thanks

Achim

As long as you still see this, '5.2.13 Older version' on the Boinc Download page it is safe to use Trux's client.

To all here... I seem, to have made a goof...I have suspended in Trux all my number crunching be hitting Ctrl-C when I saw the command in an old DOS line when I had the program open. Obviously, I should have left it alone, but as usual I did not...have tried hitting Ctrl-C to resume, but nothing occurs....

Anyone have any suggestions??? would appreciate./. Stan

Looks like you did what I did. With Trux, boinc.exe has the yellow B icon, like boincmgr.exe does.

Just restart by opening bonicmgr.exe.

There is a fairly active thread regarding the new BOINC 5.4.9 (including discussion of compatibility issues with Trux's optimized BOINC client) over at SETI. (The thread is: Message boards : Number crunching : BOINC 5.4.9.) If you are thinking about upgrading to BOINC 5.4.9, you might want to read the SETI thread first.

I got a problem. I just went to a new optimized BOINC client (crunch3r) and optimized SETI client (crunch3r). I already had an optimized Einstein client by Akosof. Now my crunch times for Einstein have almost tripled. Any other problems of this sort or did I do soomething wrong? Need more info? Ask. I'm just trying to figure out what's up?

I just peeked at your last ~40ish completed WUs and your Einstein crunch times have remained the same, around 7500 seconds. What were your "normal" crunch times?

Yea, that's the way it used to be now I'm at 66.29% complete with 05:13:32 CPU time and 1:55:30 to go on one unit.
And,,6.82% Complete with 00:33:45 CPU time and 01:46:19 to go but it is counting up.
Not sure what has happened but it doesn't look like a good thing.
Thanks for your reply Kev.

Try reinstalling S39L. By switching to a new core client, you may have been sent the official albert science app from E@H. Just a thought, I don't know if that is the problem though.

There are 10^11 stars in the galaxy. That used to be a huge number. But it's only a hundred billion. It's less than the national deficit! We used to call them astronomical numbers. Now we should call them economical numbers. - Richard Feynman
