Since a few days I only receive very short WUs (less than 2,000 seconds), no big ones anymore. Why is that?

I have four machines of varying speeds. The slowest (700 MHz Pentium II) has gotten shorts right along for many months, but the others very rarely. In the last couple of weeks, I, too, am getting far more short units on the faster machines.

I'll hazard a guess that the remaining work is richer in shorts than before--too many for the slow machines to handle them all.

Yep, I noticed that on my 3500+, too. Luckily I'm on fast DSL, so it didn't matter much, but it's a miracle that my brother didn't kill me- he's very much into playing shooters online and hates it if someone messes up his ping ;-) Luckily, I'm back to long ones now.
