I am using Einstein@home at work, I am often out of my office. So may computer is off. Is it possible to have a longer report deadline. So that I have the change to finish the work in time, nearly a week is to short for a slow office-pc that is not working long.

Could you turn the monitor off overnight while leaving the box(computer) on?
You could use a password on the screensaver(whichever one you use) if you are worried about security
if active internet access is your worry change your preferences to access internet to every .8 days and turn off your modem/network connection when you leave. BOINC will retry until it gets through, which will be after you reconnect/turn on modem/network connection
(I hope that covers all reason you may have for turning the computer off)

A better option is to use the 'disable BOINC network access' feature built into the CC.
