lost icons on desktop

Hi, I use the BOINC (6.12.33) for Einstein project running on W7. The screensaver work OK, but after getting back to regular work on the pc most of my icons is gone. Altough these icons are reffering to tables and programs in the company network. Is there any solution for that? Thanks in advance
