Kernel times

Hello,

Can someone tell what kernel times say about a system.
If there is something wrong with a particular piece of hardware or software?
I tried google but did not find any satisfying answer.
I am seeing kernel times rising close to CPU usage when certain graphics cards are installed in certain PC's.
