can anyone tell me where boinc is putting all its files? i am using mac os x.
if i ever want to remove everything that has been installed and safed on my harddrive, how can i do that?
do i have to leave the terminal running in order to let e@h use cpu time? when i quit the terminal application all e@h activities are stopped? when i restart my computer, do i also have to start e@h each time?
thanks for answering my questions. i understand these are questions by a newcomer, but i couldnt find anything about it in FAQs.

how to remove einstein@home

With the mac its easy; all the files are put in the Folder (directory) you started Boinc in, so deleting the folder will due.

If you start Boinc in a terminal as user (not as root-process) you have to restart it after killing the terminal and it is not started automatic.

It is possible to start it at power up I believe; see following link to the pages of Paul D. Buck; it contains a lot of info not only about the project but also about specific platform issues.

thanks, john! unfortunately i did start boinc from the desktop (maybe anyone can put this in directios or the readme file, to start it in a new folder) but did not find any data on the desktop. by now i did find them, located in my home directory. maybe this is of interest to anyone.

if i want to have my other computer run boinc, but there are several user accounts on it (i am the admin and root) is there a way i can run boinc, so whoever logs in or logs out - boinc is always up and running, especially, when noone is logged in, then i would give it most of the cpu!
