if this is a duplicate please ignore
I have noticed that there are people using e@h who have hundreds of pending wus that they can not possibly complete. It seems to me this must be a bad thing for every one.
I suspect that is the result of a misunderstanding aout the "Connect to network about every" value in in the general preference profile. The description would seem to imply that it is a good thing to set this value high ie bothering the server less frequently. But for users regularly connected to the internet it does not appear to work out that way. Rather the number causes e@h to request new wus whenever there are less slected number of hours of work remaining.
I suggest that the description be change or a recommendation be added. Something like "time between internet connections or wu completion cpu time which ever is greater".

hogging wus

Can you give the link of the hosts and the download limit is 8 per day. You use the word pending and if that is correct then the WUs are completed and waiting final verification....

I would rather not mention

I would rather not mention names.
I should have said the server state is "in progress" and client state is "new"
rather than saying pending. Sorry for the sloppy terminalogy.

Those look pretty normal to me... :/

*Edit: Oh,now I know what you mean. :) Some people have lots of crunching- boxes and thereby have a lot of downloaded WU:s.(It's not a lot to have 8 WU/day/cpu anyway if you have a nasty box. ;) Don't mention SETI.. :)

I am refering to wu 136934.

I am refering to wu 136934. Sometime yesturday one of the timed out results came in so the result is no longer pending. One of the computers has over 400 wus "in progress" and "new".

LoL,how's this possible?
Max 10 days , 8 Units/day , 2 "cpu":s (HT) = 160 WU in total?
Sounds like they can download 160 everyday..
