I am not sure the Verlinde

I am not sure the Verlinde article quite does it for me in regards to how you are describing things... i.e. gravity due to dark energy absorption... but the following paper I found with a bit of googling may interest you:

p.s. I am too ignorant to assess the validity of these claims, however they are interesting...
