Thanks everyone for the

Thanks everyone for the help.
Everything works correctly now with the --
chown -R boinc:boinc /var/lib/boinc-client/projects/einstein.phys.uwm.edu

I used the alt-f2 then gksudo nautilus command to copy and move the files.
The interesting point is that it was the desktop version that caused the issues.
The server version worked straight away.

Do these beta applications

Do these beta applications still work for S5R4 units or do we have to wait for new beta applications?

They will definitely not work for S5R4 data, even tho (because of a bug n the BOINC software, apparently) there might be some downloads of S5R4 data occurring.

The new S5R4 stock applications are almost identical to S5R3 power and beta apps, so you might want to remove the app_info.xml file so BOINC will automatically update to S5R4 apps.

No, they won't

They may, or may not, arrive. Watch for new sticky threads.

Likewise for the Power Users apps. The current ones won't work for S5R4 - but both Power and Beta will continue to get S5R3 resends for a while yet.
