Thanks for the

Thanks for the report!

Following my reports David Anderson has checked a change into BOINC that might solve the problem. I just didn't come around to build an App with the new BOINC code yet, also due to some other problems with the BOINC code. I hope to fix this soon.

I also am having trouble with Global Correlations. It was working alright until 27 Oct 2010 when all my WU's started coming in as Computer Errors. I have dozens of them. Can I do anything to stop them from coming to my computer or can the problem be fixed at the other end. It is not my computer all others work fine.

That statement is a contradiction in itself. ;-)

The erroneous tasks on this computer show the following message:CreateProcess() failed - Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. (0x5aa)

How should that be "fixed at the other end"?

[edit]And what has it to do with the topic of this thread "Global Correlations S5 - Signal 11", which is a linux problem, IIRC?[/edit]

You can either let them finish and hope the resends don't finish before yours (in which case you probably won't get credit for them), or you can abort the work units that have not started yet by selecting them and using the Abort button (on the Tasks tab in Advanced view). The server should abort those that have not started yet if the machine is connected to the internet, but I'm not sure if it does so as soon as the deadline passes or if the server waits until the re-issued WUs' results are returned to abort them. Or you can abort all of them, essentially throwing away the crunch time your computer has spent on them already (but not wasting any MORE time on them). In any event, aborting them doesn't mean they won't get done by someone... if the results are not returned or are erroneous/bad results, the server will re-issue them automatically until the re-issue limit is reached (if that happens there is likely something wrong with the work unit itself). While connected to the internet, on the Projects tab (in Advanced view), select Einstein and click Update... that should let the server abort any that haven't started yet.

Anyway... your post is not relevant to this thread, which is about the logged error message returned by the S5 version of GC application as noted in the Subject.
You can see the application names, of all projects you are crunching, on the Tasks tab, by the way.

Well, here's something different. A signal 11 on MaOS X. (This is a G4 PowerPC Mac, and it's one of the new HF workunits.)

Thanks. I don't think that there is something wrong with this workunit (as two other machines completed it successfully) nor with the App in general. But at least there seems to be something wrong with BOINC backtrace - repeating the same message over and over again until nothing else is visible is annoying and preventing further diagnosis. BOINC Devs notified.

Thanks! Again in the BOINC

Thanks! Again in the BOINC API. Seems like Milkyway@Home is seeing this too.

I forwarded the stackdump to the BOINC Dev mailing list.

OK. Hope that they find the problem.

Meanwhile, here is another one. This one seems to have two problems, one in the middle of the dump and then the one at the end of the dump.
