Let me say this again: we provided a i386 application as well as the i386 CUDA 2.1 runtime environment only. However, both of you are using x64 systems, so that's kind of unsupported and likely to produce errors due to incompatibilities.
Cheers,
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
according to Bernd, this should work. Nontheless, I will try 181.* driver as suggested by Bernd (next time I have physical access to the machine in question.)
unfortunately the CUDA application doesn't work for me too. But maybe the information could be useful for debugging.
When I start the BOINC manager it starts working on an ABP unit but stops after 4 seconds.
My system:
Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64 with 2.6.28-14 generic kernel
AMD Athlon X2 BE-2300
Nvidia Quadro FX370 with driver version 180.44
BOINC version 6.4.5

The OP suggests a minimum driver version of 181.20 might be worth testing.

I updated my Nvidia driver to version 185.18.14 with no success. The behavior is exact the same like before, except that I don't get any error messages on the console when starting BOINC via ./run_manager.

Hi,
can someone post a download link (preferably from NVIDIA website)? 181.20 is no longer listed.

All drivers are available through the Advanced Driver Search page (Beta and Archived drivers). The exact version numbers may not match across all cards/OSs/versions, but you should be able to find one with the nearest matching release date.

Hi Michael,
Yes, it might work indeed and I just wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of what has been released by us.
