      I'm no expert on Windows, but there are several threads on this message board about screen saver and graphics problems between Einstein and Windows. I personally just leave all graphics off as doing so frees up clock cycles in the CPU and lowers my crunch times.

      I am curious as to why BOINC is switching between apps on ten minute intervals. The default switching interval is 60 minutes.

        BOINC is not switching tasks, the message would be "Resuming" not "Restarting". The two tasks are running on the two CPUs (cores) simultaneously and each gets restarted every ten minutes or so. Not good!

        @koby nudler: Do you really have so many computers active? And none has returned a (valid) result in the past weeks!

        Do you have set Use at most xx percent of CPU time in your General preferences to less than 100%? If so, reset it to 100 percent, as that might stop the restarts of tasks.

        If you get heat or performance problems when running your machine at full load, try using only one core for BOINC: in General preferences, set On multiprocessors, use at most xx processors to 1.

        Don't forget to update the project after the change, if you are not using local Preferences.

        Hopefully then the tasks will get succesfully crunched.
