I have an old PII 300 that only has 128M of RAM. I am running SETI Beta and would like to have an alternate project.
I looked in the FAQ and did not find an answer as to wheter this system would work (however slowly). I found out the hard way that it was not suited to Rosetta.
Thanks

E@H Minimum requirements

I don't see why not. I've been paired with older units in queue such as you have. Just expect long processing times for the work units. If you have Windows, I'd suggest using an "optimized" application (C41.02) to lessen the time involved in processing (roughly 10%).
See this and this thread for other user's observations.

I have a 400 MHz PII running Linux 24/7. In this moment I have 2 E@H WUs not yet validated. Two results are missing. One is ruuning on an Athlon XP 2000+ with Windows, the other on a MacMini with 2 CPUs running Darwin. No comment.

Minimum memory requirements

Minimum memory requirements for current Workunits is 60MB, but that's hardly ever used. So if your OS leaves 60MB free it should work. A PII 300 will need between one and two days for a current WU. If you can collect this over the two weeks deadline time, that's fine.
