Please give a reference URL for this. I saw some traffic about a 'suspected bug' but not something about a 'confirmed, found bug'. Where is the email about a fix being put in?
@Bruce: Sorry for any confusion - I didn't realize you had responded on this one, the traffic I was referencing was YOURS; the boinczilla entry for the bug rd pointed to (#445) is "priority HIGH", which I assume means that a fix will be put in, although I obviously don't know when. Probably when _you_ get a chance to! :-)
All of the errors last week with the users in one timezone not being able to download shows that it is _not_ "rolling over" to the next server if one fails. My posting was just to let those with problems know that the "rollover" part was at least known; I didn't see that you were the person who mentioned the rollover. My error, lack of sleep! :-/

OK. Unfortunately 'high priority' just means that it's not low priority. I can't fix this easily: it's not code that I know well enough. It's likely to remain in BOINC unless David Anderson or Rom Walton pick it up.

When this happens [with any of the projects and it does happen with all that I have put my PC's to working on so far] I just detach and sign up for another project till that ones fails, then try another ;)
David Anderson checked in a fix for this download problem a couple of days ago. It may take some time (days to weeks) before that change make it into a publicly distributed client.

Thanks Bruce, I'll keep an eye out for the next release of BOINC. It "may" help with a similar problem I've had with Seti. I may through SAH a few percent for the BOINC@Australia team.
