The stat sites are fed off an XML file that is updated omce - ??? times a day, depending on the project. These XML file creations take a lot of database time, and are slow to generate (I heard that SETI takes a few hours just to generate). Of the sites I know SETI does once a day, Einstein and CPDN does twice, and Predictor does four (or more) a day.

The sites usually looks at the XML date about once every hour, if the data has changed it will download the file and import the stats. That import can take quite a while, also.
