Hello all,

I would like to capture a WU in order to try to find why Albert 4.51 (& 4.55) finishes with an error on my linux system. I would like to do this because I do not want to pollute the project with bad WUs because of my tests.

Is there a way to capture a WU, make boinc crunch it and recrunch it at will withtout returning bad results ?

Thanks in advance.

Bernard.

Capturing a WU for test purpose

Have an unstarted result on the host.
Suspend that result
Set all projects to “no new work
Upload and report all work except the suspended result.
Suspend network activity.
Exit boinc.
Copy the entire boinc folder to a safe place.

Then you want to do a test you exit boinc and rename the boinc folder to something else (tex. Boinc2)
Copy the boinc folder you have in a safe place to the programs directory.
Copy the application you want to test to that boinc folder
Start boinc manager

Edit. This is how I would do it on my windows system. I guess it would work the same with a Linux system.

Then you're really interested in a subject, there is no way to avoid it. You have to read the Manual.
