I'm submitting this for my Dad. He signed up in the wee hours of Sunday 7/23 and apparently entered his email address incorrectly. Einstein is running just fine on his computer, but he can't access his account. So he can't change resource share or enter the correct email address, or anything else. He has tried a few variations of his email address without any luck and continuing that route would use up all of his computer's free time thus eliminating any time for BOINC projects at all!Of course with this problem, he can't get his get his account key.
He would be happy to forfiet his points but isn't willing to lose his 'nickname' for the Einstein project!
Does anyone out there have a solution? Is there a Great Administrator out there who can sprinkle a little E=MC2 on the account during his annual gift giving travels?
Thanks, TA-4J SkyHawk for skywarrior

)
1) Open BOINC manager, open "projects" tab, select E@H, and hit "Your Account" Button. Should open the desired page. (Never tried this, so this is just a guess.)
2) Try this link. It will send you a mail with your account information. (This will work only, if the mail-address is valid though...

I think I've read before that

I think I've read before that the account key is in one of the xml files in the BOINC folder.
I'd look, but I don't want to fool around with the XML files while BOINC is running and I'm running a project without checkpoints.

No, I checked beforehand, only email-hash and CPID.

edit: Damn, you are right. I only checked client_state.xml.
So there is a solution then. You have to look in your BOINC folder. There is a file named "account_einstein.phys.uwm.edu.xml". Look for "authenticator" and login via "account key"
Thanks Kathryn.

Thank You Very Much
The fact that this is from me,not TA-4J, is proof positive that the xml file method worked. It work fast and easy. The problem was, in fact, a typo in my email address. I managed to double a letter in the domain part of the address. I can't say it enough,

You are very welcome.
I was hoping that I was right. It's not often that I'm able to help (and when I can, I'm usually just lucky).
