BRP4G - Intel GPU device name: 'Intel(R) HD Graphics' doesn't ma

Your N2920 is a fairly low-end CPU in the Bay Trail branch of the Silvermont family (hint--other members are classed as Atom). The onboard graphics capability is quite modest.

Quite a few Intel CPU models with onboard graphics are not usable by the current Einstein code. Even those that are usable give less total output with greater system impact than one might wish.

I don't think your situation is a bug.

Can anyone translate these

Can anyone translate these for me... Does it say  "yea BOINC now sees your iGPU but it's too low end for E@H to use." ?

IF that's what it's telling me are there an projects that might use it?  ...at least to see what it does.

The scheduler doesn’t

The scheduler doesn’t recognize the Xe as a valid Intel GPU. It’s got some regex setup to look for a name like “Intel HD” something.

You have to run anonymous platform to get tasks for an Xe card.

You can falsify your coproc_info.xml file to get tasks but that is a lot of work for most people.

The project needs to update the scheduler to identify the newer gpu architectures.

I don't have any suggestion for other projects to try.

I don't know what an "Xe

I don't know what an "Xe card" is.  This thing is an old I7-6700 with HD530 iGPU.

OpenCL: Intel GPU 0: Intel(R) HD Graphics Skylake Desktop GT2

Are you talking about this line:

Intel GPU device name: 'Intel(R) HD Graphics Skylake Desktop GT2' doesn't match 'HD Graphics [123]|HD Graphics 40'

Sorry, I don't know much

Sorry, I don't know much about Intel processors.  I just know that others have complained of the same exact messages for which I copied their responses.

Anyway, the problem is with the scheduler and nothing you can do about it other than wait for the devs to fix the application profile for recognizing cards or igpu platforms that it doesn't understand.

AFAIK, Xe is the new Intel graphics platform for both discrete gpus and new cpus.

its not an Xe iGPU (Tigerlake and newer). but it's the same error message from the project.

the only workaround is running anonymous platform to manually run the iGPU app. (you need to download the app from a compatible computer first)
