Hello, dear friends!

Einstein@home sometimes is giving unexplainable validate errors, unlike 3 another projects I crunch.
Those validate errors are quite rare, but today I have a situation never seen before. This host has currently 18 validate errors versus 1 validation - 18:1!
Can somebody explain this chaos?

Thank You!

BRP CUDA, permanent validate errors

Hi!

Thanks for the report.

From time to time, we get data from Arecibo that is corrupted in one way or another, but it's difficult to detect this up front, we only notice that when we see a significant increase in validation errors from different hosts for the same "beam". It really looks like you were unfortunate and got a lot of work units from such a "bad beam". We'll investigate this and, if necessary, revoke those workunits.

Again, thanks for reporting

Cheers

Bad beam - Ok, then all tasks

Bad beam - Ok, then all tasks in progress from that beam must die! :-)
Thank You for very fast reply!
