Hi,

I searched the forum but couldn't find an answer. I'm having problems with the graphics/screensaver not showing. The BOINC screensaver itself is working and showing graphics for other projects but the nice purple star chart thingy from Einstein@home doesn't show. In BOINC Manager the "show graphics" button is also greyed out. A few weeks ago everything was working fine.

I'm using Win 10 with latest updates for both OS and GPU.

What can I do to identify and solve my problem? Thx for any help!

Nelson

What type of task are you

What type of task are you trying to show the graphics (screensaver) for?

It's working fine for me when I try it for a Gravity wave task running on the CPU.
GPU tasks doesn't have any graphics to show.

Oooooooh!At the moment

Oooooooh!

At the moment it's "Gravitational Wave Search O2 Mutli-Directional GPU" so this makes sense.

Could I have known? Is there a list with the WUs showing graphics and the ones that don't?

Thx for the insight!

Also: How do you manage showing an avatar picture for your profile in the forum? Mine is not showing although I have one ...

I don't know of a list for

I don't know of a list for what app have graphics or not but the rule of thumb is that GPU applications normally don't have any graphics.

The forum avatar settings can be found in your Community settings. Account -> Preferences -> Community.
The profile picture is not shown in the forums as you have noticed.

Wow, awesome! Thx for your great help, I really appreciate!

Also came up with the idea that if the visual Einstein@home is so important to me that I could deselect the GPU-WUs in project settings.

Thx again, Nelson
