I installed Einstein@home and waited for something to happen. Nothing??!! I insatlled it 16 hours ago. I have a Dell 8250, lots of memory and disk space, W XP. I am on a cable modem, with a hardwired firewall in the router, W XP router ON, by default.
What do I need to do to get things started?

BOINC doesn't start up

In order to have Boinc running, you need to attach to a project.

If you downloaded to last verions which is 4.25 and installed it using BoincManager, you need to open BoincManager, go to the tab "Projects" and choose "Attach to new project". In the window that will open you will need to enter the URL and the account key that was provided in the e-mail you received.

Once that is done, the application will be downloaded together with some WU's.

Greetings from Belgium
Thierry
