LMGTFYhttp://packages.ubuntu.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=nvidia-modprobe

choose your distro, then pick the i386 or amd64, then pick the best mirror

the version does not matter - for 340.65 is 340.24 working fine

or, add the repository as written above the mirror list and after "apt-get udate" you should be able to install that via synaptic or terminal...

RE: I have Nvidia driver

I have Nvidia driver 340.65 installed as well.

I ran "sudo service boinc-client restart" and restarted the computer and boinc manager but still get this message from my event log in boinc.

from what I can tell from the other messages I need to install nvidia-modprobe but I can't seem to find them when using the apt-get command.

Mint is similar to Ubuntu so I would think
"sudo apt-get install nvidia-modprobe" should work. If not use Mint's package manager gui and search for nvidia-m . Maybe mint has a different name for it.

I am following this too but using Linux Lite, I too had problems with the nvidia-modprobe line and had to install it thru the package manager. I also had to manually get the nvidia-opencl-dev thing too. Once I did, that and restarted the pc of course, it is now working!!

Thanks guys!!!
