Regarding your original

Regarding your original question I agree with Richard:

In my opinion, if the user is carrying out active testing for some reason, the tiny (in relative terms) number of tasks delayed doesn't really matter at all. But if they've made a mistake, then it would be polite to correct it.

Regarding your 2nd question: people whos host discovered a pulsar get an honourable mention on the web page, which I think is very nice and motivating. But if you take a look at the publications it's not like these are the only ones mentioned. The project wholeheartedly thanks all of us and doesn't single out users who just got lucky.

I know some people care a lot about badgets. I don't - that's what the credits are there for, aynway. Or one could assign badges based on runtime (like WCG) rather than actual contribution (like credits). This would honor "ancient" contributions better, but would not encourage running efficiently ("if I get the badges anyway it doesn't matter how much my good my runtime actually does"). You're certainly free to propse such a thing, though, at best in a new thread in the " Wish List" forum.
