Yay, after almost 1.5 million

Yay, after almost 1.5 million seconds of computing time, I managed to report the result back. And I even got credit for it! At least, Rainer1966 got higher credit than claimed because of my own high claim. ;-)

Regarding SIMAP, the WU computing time seems to be ideal for my router box but, as you already said, Ziran, this project is really demanding on bandwidth. Maybe I will give it a try anyway. Thanks for the hint.

Hey, Wurgl, I just realized that you joined E@H the same day as I. Although I can't really compete with you, I'm trying hard to make it into the top 200 of the Class of 2005-02-11. :-)

Hey! Funny! Our age differs by 9 Minutes :-)
And congratulations to the slowest box which got credits!

Why not upgrade the hardware?

Since someone asked why I do not upgrade ... Well, there is an AMD-K6-233 and this box will be replaced by the Dual-P-Pro 200. Its job is loghost, nameserver, timeserver, mailserver and such for my home network. And since these jobs need to be available all the time, this box will run 24/7, regardless if I use it for E@H or not. The AMD-K6 will be shut down within the next month or so and will sit side by side with my old 386 which is turned off, but if turned on it runs a nice self made linux (2.6 kernel mixed with ulibC, currently no X) :-)

Congratulation

But will it be normal, calculating more than 17 days, 3 days overtimed, getting credits too?

@Bruce: we need another more healthy scheduler, the old maybe very ill. ;-)

Best regards

No, that only happens if the person who missed the deadline gets thier work in before the replacement person submits thier result.
