I woke up and noticed

I woke up and noticed transfers backing off. It's refreshing there's a problem with transferring work in or out. It's quite rare situation on this project after all :D

My upload data is reaching

My upload data is reaching Hannover, but then I get

21/11/2018 08:58:17 | Einstein@Home | [http] [ID#1027] Info: Connected to einstein4.aei.uni-hannover.de (130.75.116.34) port 80 (#1110)

21/11/2018 08:59:17 | Einstein@Home | [http] [ID#1027] Received header from server: HTTP/1.1 504 Gateway Time-out

I'm not sure whether the ultimate backing storage behind that gateway is in Hannover (where they should be awake and working by now), or in Milwaukee (where they won't).

Moderators Mike and Gary are the recognised channel between these boards and the project admins.

As it happens (pure

As it happens (pure coincidence), I mentioned this problem of uploads being completed and only then encountering an upstream error - which is very wasteful of bandwidth on projects with huge upload files - in a conference call yesterday.

And - irony of ironies - the call was hosted by an Einstein admin. I've taken the opportunity of rubbing salt in the wounds...

I'm not near a machine from

I'm not near a machine from which I can send an email at the moment.  Sending a PM is not ideal because such a message may not be noticed in a timely manner.

If you look at the community page, there is a bottom row of links, one of which is "Moderation".  On the last line of text on that page is an admin email address.  That should be a suitable address to use to alert staff - I believe they all see messages there.  For anyone concerned, send an email to that address.

Cheers,
Gary.

OK, I did.  Tomorrow no one will be at work in the U.S., so I hope it is fixed today.

Sorry, apparently our upload

Sorry, apparently our upload handlers got stuck (i.e. lost connection to the web server) around 0:00 UTC. Was fixed a few minutes ago. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks a lot for the reports on various channels!
