    Looking at the deb files enclosed in the release, and they don't have much detail, they do ship "new" (*) libOpenCL.so libraries. I'm not optimistic, but wondered it they had been tried to see a) working and b) solved the running x2 or higher problem on GCN 1.2 GPUs.

    edit: (*) new meaning i could see, using readelf, some differences between what i was running and the beta release.
