Not as angry as my sister who

Not as angry as my sister who kept wanted to use the phone for something she called a "phonecall" and disliked the modem screech in her ear.  Until she realised she could make my modem disconnect by picking the phone up a few times.

I used two modems and strapped them together with some clever program so I had 112kbps!  Two phonecalls at once on two lines, but at that time there were 0800 (freephone) numbers.  Replaced that with a huge satellite dish that got me 256kbps.  Eventually sold it to someone going off to Africa to do research so he could get internet in the middle of nowhere.
