Details of my Computer see here.

This computer has a GTX480 and GTX260. Each ABP2-CUDA-WU that is calculated by the GTX480 is fine (e.g. Task 181859063). All WUs are assigned to the GTX260 are defective (e.g. Task 181867854).

What is the problem? What can I do to make the GTX260 running. Or that the WUs are assigned only to the GTX480? Thank you.

Danke.

Bis denn dann, Grubix.

ABP2cuda23 with GTX260 and GTX480

Probably the GTX260 has too few free memory when the task is executed (it should have enough total memory or it won't get assigned tasks at all). I'd guess you use this card for the (larger) display?

Hm - I though that recent BOINC Core Clients would only use the best available CUDA device and ignore older or less powerful ones. Am I mistaken?

I'm not 100% sure now (am not at home), but the TFT should be connected to the GTX260. The GTX260 was first in the PC and the GTX480 was added later.

No, that's right. I want to use both cards, so I entered "" into "cc_config.xml". GPUGRID works with both cards. So I wanted the smaller video card does not leave unused.

It must really be a matter of a few kBytes. Try to either reduce the memory your usual Desktop takes on the GTX260 (e.g. by reducing 3D effects), or maybe connecting the monitor to the GTX480 helps.

OK, i will try and report what happened.

The error message "Der Schlüssel der Konfigurationsregistrierung konnte nicht gelesen werden. (0x3f4) - exit code 1012 (0x3f4)" sounds like a different problem. Maybe someone knows this message.

See you later, Grubix.

The App terminates with exit code 1012. Windows thinks it is a system process that crashed this way and translates the exit code into a message that has nothing to do with the original cause.

The monitor is connected to the GTX480, so that's not the reason why the WUs are broken on the GTX260.
Could it be that the GTX260 at Einstein is not running with the current 257.21 drivers. I have this installed due GTX480. Other users running a GTX260 have the 197 drivers.

Have you tried running the GTX260 by itself just to verify it's running correctly? I would also try running with both cards connected to a monitor or with a dummy plug.

Before I installed the GTX480, the GTX260 worked alone in the computer. There were no problems, GPUGRID worked perfectly. However, he has received from Einstein no GPU WUs, there was the 197 driver and BOINC 6.10.18 on the PC.

The problem should be that the monitor was connected to the GTX260. I am a little confused.

In the next days, i will switch from WinXP-64 to Win7-64. Perhaps it will be solve the problems.

Bye, Grubix.
