Hi, I'm now (2023) a 69 years old male, living in a small village with about 800 inhabitants, south of Kiel (well known as the name-giving town of the Kiel-Canal) in Northern Germany. Before I retired I have been working at the Statistical Office for Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein and was responsible for statistics on industry, construction and business notifications for both Länder. Formerly as a compensation for my desk-job, today for keeping fitness I'm playing basketball weekly.
I run this project because of a general interest in physics and unsolved questions in basic physics. In 2006 I visited the CERN-plant in Switzerland with a view on "microscopic" topics and had an impression of preparing new experiments in search of hidden objects. In 2015 I visited the the DESY-plant in Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein with the construction of the European XFEL (superlative x-ray-based research-facility). I joined the "macroscopic" Einstein-project accidentially by reading something about the Year of Physics in 2005 with a link on einstein@home. At home, my notebook is not really occupied full-time. So there's enough it can do for Einstein and all the other research purposes. I hope, this and all other projects will successfully reach their goals by the help of a worldwide BOINC-community!
