I am running BOINC version 5. Should I upgrade to version 6? If so do I just install over the previous version? Thanks for guidance.

According to the computer list attached to your account name, you're already running version 6.10.56/.58

No urgent need to go higher than that. There is a v6.12.26 now, but I'd leave it for a little bit more polishing before you upgrade. When the time comes, yes: you can just install straight over the top, and you won't lose any settings or work in progress.

I have two computers running. One is on 6 the other on 5. Do I upgrade?

Which host ID is that? Both the machines on your current list are up-to-date (near enough).

Have a look at Raise of minimum required BOINC Core Client version. Provided your "v5" machine is at least v5.8, you're OK: but if it's v5.6 or earlier, and you want to compute for Einstein, you would need to upgrade.

            Hi

I ask your indulgence. That upgrade took place automatically very very recently and I was unaware of it. I did not know that upgrades took place automatically. I thank you for your help and I will try to be vigilant in future.
